Building company BMR Construction has moved into a second-floor office in Pacific House, on Eastbourne’s Sovereign Harbour Innovation Park, to manage its portfolio of public and community projects in Sussex and expand into social housing.
Established in Tonbridge in Kent in 2013, BMR – which stands for ‘build, maintain, renew’ – creates school, residential, community and commercial buildings across London and the southeast.
The company currently has three senior managers, four project managers and two supporting staff managing their site teams across the southeast. It has found a particular demand for its services in Sussex, with recent projects including assisted living contracts for East Sussex County Council, residential work, and a health centre for the Mayfield independent girls school.
As a central part of its growth strategy, BMR has also formed a strategic partnership with Eastbourne-based affordable and modular housing specialist Goscombe. The companies are collaborating to deliver social housing schemes, with Goscombe manufacturing homes offsite and BMR providing the construction services to install them.
